The popular Swatch Automatic GRAN VIA was released in 1992. This model belongs to the first series of mechanical watches that Swatch produced in the 1990s. It doesn't require a battery; the movement is self-winding, powered by the movement of the wearer's arm. The opening in the upper part of the dial allows a view of the mechanical movement.
